Adopt-a-Road Street Clean-Up: BCC allocated section of Creek Road:
Actively participating in the Adopt-a-Road program, organising regular street clean-up events, contributing their time and effort to keep local roads clean and promote a healthy environment.
Gardening, Painting, and Landscaping:
Beautifying public spaces through gardening, painting, and landscaping projects, mostly for not for profit & community groups. This hands-on approach helps enhance the aesthetic appeal of community areas and creates a more pleasant environment for those using these facilities.
Watson Street Garden - Regenerating Community:
Our Club has been providing financial and physical resources to support this volunteer group to expand & grow their community garden.
Providing Food Hampers for those in need at Christmas:
During the festive season, our members play a vital role in spreading joy
and goodwill; individually providing food hampers to those in need & helping our charity partners, St Vincent de Paul and the Salvation Army, to pack & distribute these.
Tidying Grave Sites:
Tingalpa Pioneers Chapel & Cemetery:
Recognising the importance of preserving local history and respecting the memories of departed community members, members engage in activities to tidy and maintain grave sites. This thoughtful effort contributes to the overall upkeep of local cemeteries.
Community Barbecues:
Our Club organises community barbecues, usually at the request of our local City Counsellors, providing a platform for residents to come together, socialise, and strengthen community bonds. These events foster a sense of belonging and unity among residents.
Tree Planting:
Environmental sustainability is a priority for Rotary Clubs worldwide. We contribute to the community's green spaces by engaging in Rotary & Community tree-planting initiatives.This not only benefits the local ecosystem but also promotes a healthier and greener environment.
Native Wildlife Support:
Our members have participated in numerous working bees at the Qld Koala Sanctuary, with landscaping and the construction of shelters & fences for the variety of native wildlife being cared for.
